Rethinking timepiece traditions
In 2016, amidst the charming canals and picturesque cobblestone streets of Copenhagen, two colleagues working at the renowned Danish timepiece and jewelry brand, Georg Jensen, found themselves united in a shared vision.
With decades of experience from the watch business, they wanted to reimagine the affordable luxury watch category and challenge the status quo.
Putting the consumer first

Upon delving into a market saturated with an overwhelming variety of watch options, it became apparent that many of them appeared exorbitantly priced or disappointingly similar and boring in design. Consequently, they failed to capture the best interests of most consumers.
So the goal became to create a watch brand that centered around the consumer, placing their needs and desires at the forefront.
Our approach was simple yet profound. We sought to mold a brand that was shaped by the consumer, with products that were defined by them, rather than dictating what they should desire.

To achieve this, we took to the streets, immersing ourselves in the vibrant tapestry of our community.
We listened intently and wholeheartedly, striving to understand the subtle nuances and specific requirements of our customers.

For us, time is not just a concept, but a passion. We are a Danish company that take pride in our Nordic roots and heritage. Our name is derived from two words that speak to our values and inspiration: horlogerie, the French word for the art of watchmaking, and orlog, the Old Norse word for fate.

Our Danish ancestors, the Vikings, believed in fate, or orlog as they called it, and that one's fate was predetermined. However, they also believed that they could fight against and influence their fate through their actions. This philosophy still resonates with us today, as we strive to make an impact on the world through our watches, our values and our deep commitment to give back to our community.
